About the team
The Transport Systems Intelligence (TSI) team is a fun, dynamic team within the Transport Operations Business Unit. Our vision is to foster a safer transport environment by optimising operational efficiency, empowering informed decisions for network operators and establishing the groundwork for transport technology advancements.
About the role
The Transport Network Analyst will provide support to the Principal Transport Network Analyst in undertaking transport and traffic analysis for the Gold Coast transport system, with a focus on optimising the safety and efficiency of the road network.
This includes:
· Develop route and corridor traffic planning studies to maximise the operational efficiency of the Gold Coast road network.
· Assist in monitoring and reporting on the performance of strategic corridors and roads of significance.
· Provide technical advice to support traffic engineering and planning initiatives.
· Preparation of traffic assessments.
· Assist in identifying network pinch points and network optimisation treatments.
· Coordinate and liaise with internal stakeholders and external consultants to deliver efficient outcomes.
We’re looking for people who have:
Bachelor’s degree relevant to the position (e.g. engineering, planning) or equivalent industry experience.
· Demonstrated experience as a traffic professional.
· Experience with using SIDRA, and other microsimulation software.
· Knowledge of modern traffic modelling methodologies and practices.
· Unrestricted ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence.
· You thrive on applying innovative approaches to programs and problem solving.
· You foster positive relationships with stakeholders.
· You contribute to supporting outcomes that help build a connected and intelligent transport network for the Gold Coast.
· You have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; with experience in developing grant submissions, education awareness campaigns and writing reports.
· You work productively in a team environment and foster positive relationships with other team members.
