About the role 

 We currently have both 10-day fortnight (40 hours per week) and 9-day fortnight (36 hours per week) opportunities available. 

Are you a driven Surveyor or Senior Surveyor looking to work on diverse municipal projects across greenfield and brownfield environments? We are seeking skilled professionals to join our multidisciplinary team and deliver high-quality engineering survey outcomes across a range of exciting projects on the Gold Coast!

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver engineering and construction surveys across municipal projects, including feature, control, set-out, underground services, and as-constructed surveys in both greenfield and brownfield environments.
  • Capture, process, and deliver accurate survey data in compliance with legislative requirements, ADAC standards, and construction conformance reporting.
  • Undertake survey projects of minor to complex and multidisciplinary scope, applying sound surveying and project management principles.
  • Ensure survey outputs meet project specifications, quality standards, timeframes, and customer expectations.
  • Review survey data, drawings, and documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and constructability.
  • Provide professional technical input and collaborate with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage risks associated with survey activities and construction interfaces.
  • Ensure all surveying activities comply with WHS, environmental, and quality management requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting for assigned projects.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, safe work practices, and positive customer and stakeholder outcomes.

 We’re looking for people who have: 

  • Proven experience in engineering surveying across greenfield and brownfield infrastructure projects
  • A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to acquire knowledge of policies, procedures, systems and legislation relevant to surveying
  • A sharp eye for detail and precision
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project stakeholders, contractors and survey teams
  • Local government experience (desirable but not essential)
  • A current ‘C’ Class Driver Licence
  • Registration Surveyors Board of Queensland
  • General Construction White Card
  • Associate degree in Spatial Science (surveying) or equivalent experience
