The Maintenance Planning and Scheduling team schedule planned and reactive maintenance work across the City to ensure that the City’s assets are maintained to high standard.
We are seeking a technically minded, customer focused individual to assist with the planning and scheduling of works.
About the role
The position is based within the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Unit within the Infrastructure Maintenance Branch and works closely with supervisors, field staff, asset custodians and other members of the MPS team in planning, scheduling, and processing planned and reactive maintenance work, utilising the SAP system and other associated systems and processes.
Key Deliverables of the position:
- Triage, assess risk and validate a high volume of reactive maintenance notifications based on varying levels of risk through the Councils CMMS (SAP).
- Coordinate low priority work orders with Asset Custodians and internal maintenance supervisors to ensure planned maintenance requests are actioned according to the multiple service level agreements through the City’s CMMS (SAP).
- Work within the City’s maintenance work management and asset management processes and contribute to the enhanced use of technology (work management systems, mobile computing) to assist in the efficient management of resources and services.
- Work in partnership with your Supervisor to agreed performance standards and mutual expectations. Give and receive regular feedback to enable performance to be improved and take personal responsibility for optimising your potential within the City.
We’re looking for people who have:
- Trade qualification or previous Planning experience in a maintenance environment is highly desirable.
- High level of SAP maintenance experience or other maintenance management systems
- Excellent MS Office skills
- Highly developed time management skills and the ability to deal with competing priorities.
- Competently identify risk and apply appropriate resolutions
- Highly self-motivated, reliable with a drive to continually work toward achieving individual and team goals
- Excellent customer service skills for both internal and external clients
- C Class Drivers Licence
