About the team:
The City Inspectorate branch is responsible for enforcement of the City’s standards and local laws, across building, community, public safety and environmental health compliance to protect safety and amenity for the City’s residents and visitors.
The City Parking business unit is responsible for patrolling and enforcing parking laws in paid parking and timed parking areas, off-street regulated parking areas, designated disabled parking bays, and respond to and investigate complaints and breaches of parking regulations.
About the role:
As the Coordinator City Parking you will form an integral part of the Community Compliance team. You will:
- Lead and manage the teams responsible for parking enforcement.
- Provide excellent operational leadership to a dedicated team of professionals
- Drive team culture and improvements
- Assist the business to enhance the Gold Coast Way of Life through effective enforcement strategies and stakeholder engagement.
- Provide expert advice to Councillors, internal and external stakeholders.
- Coach and mentor team members in a regulatory environment.
We’re looking for people who have:
- Promotes a positive working environment achieving quality outcomes through effective leadership.
- Able to interconnect operational leadership and strategic management.
- Has a strong experience in setting strategy and running and operational team within a regulatory environment.
- Possesses excellent written and verbal communication including experience in writing committee reports.
- Inspires and motivate team members to achieve common goals.
- Can interpret and navigate the council environment building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the best outcome for the city.
