About the team

Utilities Network Operations sits within Infrastructure Gold Coast and is responsible for operating and maintaining essential water, sewerage and recycled water infrastructure across the City.

The team supports treatment plants, network operations and incident management functions that keep critical services running for the Gold Coast community. This environment is operationally focused, compliance driven and fast paced. The Governance function ensures our documentation, procedures, training materials and registers are accurate, controlled and audit ready. You will work closely with the Infrastructure Operations Technical Adviser, Supervisors, Coordinators and operational teams across Network Operations and Treatment Plants.

About the role 

As an Infrastructure Operations Governance Officer, you will play a key role in strengthening documentation integrity, governance visibility and operational consistency across critical infrastructure services. You will provide structured administrative and governance support to ensure operational documentation, registers and records are accurate, current and accessible. Working under direction, you’ll help manage controlled documents, support training material development, liaise with stakeholders across operational teams, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen compliance, reduce risk and keep operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update controlled documents, registers, and operational records.
  • Support with document reviews, version control, and audit readiness.
  • Assist in developing and updating training materials, guides and process documentation Gather and organise information to support governance reporting and compliance tracking
  • Liaise with teams and respond to document-related queries.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across Infrastructure Operations

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Experience in administrative or coordination roles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to learn new tools quickly.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Willingness to learn and work across governance and operational environments.
