Senior Controlled Entities Officer

About the role 

The Senior Controlled Entities Officer is responsible for providing in depth support to the Coordinator Controlled Entities in the oversight and management of Council’s controlled entities.
The Senior Controlled Entities Officer will work closely with senior internal and external stakeholders to provide high-level contract and compliance management to the following entities.

  • ARRC Gold Coast
  • Brand Gold Coast
  • Experience Gold Coast
  • Invest Gold Coast.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide governance, compliance, and contractual advice to Council’s controlled entities under the direction of the Coordinator Controlled Entities.
  • Manage corporate statutory obligations for controlled entities, including ASIC lodgements and the maintenance of corporate records.
  • Maintain and oversee governance registers, including resolutions, policies, statutory obligations, and key compliance actions.
  • Lead contract management activities, including Service and Funding Agreements, deeds, variations, and associated correspondence.
  • Draft, review, and coordinate governance and contractual documentation in consultation with Legal Services and other internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of Committee and Council reports, including governance, compliance, and contractual content.
  • Support the review and continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and governance frameworks relevant to controlled entities.
  • Monitor compliance with Council resolutions, contractual obligations, and reporting requirements across entities.
  • Provide professional guidance and subject matter support to the Controlled Entities Officer and contribute to broader team capability.

 

We’re looking for people who have:

  • Bachelor Degree Business (Legal Studies) or equivalent and relevant experience
  • Driver Licence C Car
