About the Roles
We have multiple fixed-term and permanent opportunities embedded across a variety of departments and projects. As a member of our talent pool, you’ll be matched to roles that best suit your experience and aspirations as positions become available.
Project Support Officer
- Provide high-quality administrative support to assigned projects across all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Support project governance activities by coordinating meetings and workshops, preparing project documentation in line with City and Enterprise Program Office templates.
- Act as central point of support for project enquiries, liaising with key internal and external stakeholders and escalating issues as required.
- Support gathering information as input to project schedules, budgets, and reporting
Business Program Support Officer
- Provide high-quality administrative and coordination support to assigned business unit or Program across the City.
- Assist in the preparation of documentation, reports and templates ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate professionally with multidisciplinary teams to contribute towards business unit and program efficiency and effectiveness.
- Act as central point of support for business unit and program enquiries, liaising with key internal and external stakeholders and escalating as required.
Business Support Officer
- Provide advanced business support services to assigned business unit or project, ensuring this is being delivered in line with expected timeframes and quality, and escalating concerns/issues where required.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with all City personnel, in representing and enhancing the reputation of the business unit or project, and the Business Support branch.
- Independently support the preparation of documentation, including presentations, reports, briefs, submissions, and correspondence relevant to the business unit or project, ensuring compliance with City branding and templates.
- Route or answer enquiries or correspondence on behalf of a business unit or project, verbally or written, using a variety of software applications, and in line with City branding and communication guidelines.
- Support business operations by coordinating workflows, improving administrative processes, and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
- Undertake independent research to respond to client Branch information requests and support effective decision‑making.

What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in project support, program support, or high-level business administration.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and strong computer literacy.
- Proactive approach to continuous improvement, problem solving, and stakeholder engagement.
- A diploma in Business Management or equivalent (for Business Support Officer roles) is desirable.

Selection Process
- Be prepared to participate in a one-way video interview, face-to-face or virtual interview, and to provide supporting documentation such as licences or qualifications if required. Reference checks, police checks, employment history checks, qualification checks, and drug and alcohol testing may form part of the process.
- Longlisted candidates will need to undertake a range of skills assessments relevant to the role. Results will then inform the shortlist.
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview.
- Dependent on the opportunity you may be asked to attend a “meet and greet” with the relevant business area, if successful in the interview process.
