About the team:
The City Inspectorate branch is responsible for enforcement of the City’s standards and local laws, across building, community, public safety and environmental health compliance to protect safety and amenity for the City’s residents and visitors.
The City Parking business unit is responsible for patrolling and enforcing parking laws in paid parking and timed parking areas, off-street regulated parking areas, designated disabled parking bays, and respond to and investigate complaints and breaches of parking regulations.
Help transform how enforcement technology supports our city.
About the role:
As an Enforcement Technology Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in keeping the City’s enforcement technology systems running smoothly, reliably and effectively. This is more than a support role — it’s an opportunity to influence how technology enables frontline services, improve system performance, and help shape smarter ways of working.
You’ll work at the intersection of technology, data and operations, partnering with operational teams, internal stakeholders and external vendors. This role suits someone who thrives on autonomy, takes ownership, and enjoys solving complex problems while working in a fast‑paced, real‑world environment.
If you enjoy autonomy, thrive on variety and want to make a tangible impact on how a city operates — this role is for you.
What You Will Do:
In this hands‑on, varied role, you will:
- Support, maintain and troubleshoot critical enforcement technology applications to ensure they perform reliably and effectively.
- Investigate and resolve functional and technical issues, responding quickly to incidents and service requests.
- Manage user administration and access, ensuring systems are secure and fit for purpose.
- Monitor application performance and availability, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with software vendors, internal IT teams and operational staff to coordinate issue resolution, upgrades and patching.
- Assist with system testing, upgrades, data integrations and deployments — including reviewing release notes and recommending enhancements.
- Support vendor management activities under the direction of the Enforcement Technology Lead.
- Undertake reconciliation of parking revenue and coordinate cash collection activities.
- Use data, systems knowledge and initiative to continuously improve how enforcement technology supports operational teams.
About you:
You’ll be someone who enjoys working independently while collaborating effectively with others. You’re proactive, adaptable and comfortable operating across both technical and operational spaces.
You will bring:
- Proven experience in application management and application support, ideally in a complex or operational environment.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the confidence to take ownership of issues from start to finish.
- The ability to communicate clearly and build positive working relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors and service providers.
- A customer‑focused mindset, with a genuine interest in improving user experience and service delivery.
- The motivation to learn, improve systems and help transform how technology supports frontline services.
If you’re seeking a role where you’re trusted and empowered to drive meaningful improvements—not just maintain the status quo—this is your opportunity. You’ll be part of a team that values initiative, practical solutions and continuous improvement, while contributing to services that directly impact the community.
