About the role
The Recover at Work Adviser is responsible for providing injury management support, rehabilitation and return‑to‑work services to the City’s workers. The role involves facilitating timely treatment for injured workers, developing and coordinating return‑to‑work plans in collaboration with line leadership and medical providers, and ensuring effective communication with workers, their direct line leaders and senior management.
The position requires frequent travel within the Gold Coast region and supports initiatives across the broader Safety and Wellbeing Strategy team. The Immediate Injury Management program operates 24/7, requiring attendance at medical appointments with injured workers, coordination with medical providers to uphold the City’s Recover at Work principles, and the development of suitable duties plans.
