Our Capital Works team delivers the civil infrastructure that keeps the Gold Coast moving and growing. We plan, design and deliver upgrades across roads, intersections, footpaths, drainage, public spaces, transport facilities and community infrastructure.

About the role
We’re looking for a motivated Civil Engineer to join our Capital Works team and help deliver projects that shape how people move, live and connect across the Gold Coast.
You’ll work across the full project lifecycle from concept development and design through to construction support and project completion. One day you may be reviewing designs for a road upgrade, the next you could be on site helping solve delivery challenges or improving pedestrian access through better infrastructure design.

Responsibilities Include:
- Contribute to the planning, design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects from concept through to construction
- Prepare engineering designs, calculations, reports and technical documentation
- Review drawings and design outputs for quality, compliance and constructability
- Undertake site inspections and provide engineering support during construction
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders
- Identify risks and issues early and develop practical solutions
- Ensure projects meet safety, environmental and quality requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement and smarter ways of delivering infrastructure
We’re looking for people who have:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent recognised qualification
- Experience in civil engineering, infrastructure design or project delivery
- Knowledge of roads, drainage, pavements, pathways or related infrastructure projects
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Practical problem-solving ability and sound engineering judgement
- Attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow
- Current C class driver licence
