About us
Our venues host a wide variety of sporting events, tournaments, expos, community activities and functions throughout the year, with operational requirements changing from day to day. To help deliver exceptional experiences for our clients, patrons and event organisers, we are looking for motivated team members to join our Venue Operations team.
About the role
As a Venue Operations Labourer, you will support the safe and efficient delivery of venue activities and events. This is a hands-on, physically active role involving event set-up and pack down, venue preparation, equipment movement and general labouring duties.
No two days are the same, and you will have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of events and activities.
In this role, you will:
- Assist with event set-up and pack down, including furniture, carpet tiles, retractable grandstands, function rooms and operational equipment
- Set up courts and sporting spaces to meet the requirements of various sports and activities
- Safely operate pallet jacks, trolleys and other equipment in accordance with training and procedures
- Perform manual handling, equipment movement and storeroom duties
- Support venue presentation by maintaining clean, safe and well-presented venues and storage areas
- Provide support to traffic management, maintenance and cleaning teams as required
- Use hand tools and equipment to assist with day-to-day venue activities and events
- Follow workplace health and safety policies and procedures at all times

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Experience in labouring, event operations, venue operations or similar environments
- Experience using operational equipment such as pallet jacks and trolleys
- Strong awareness of workplace health and safety practices
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and public holidays as required
