About the role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Portfolio Analyst to join our Business Change Portfolio Management Office (PMO) for a 12-month initial fixed term contract.

This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring portfolio, program and project initiatives are effectively prioritised, governed and managed to deliver strategic organisational and community outcomes.

Working closely with Executive Leadership and key stakeholders, the successful candidate will provide expert oversight across the organisation’s P3M landscape, driving informed decision-making through reporting, portfolio insights, governance assurance and forward-looking resource planning.

Duties for this will include (but not limited to)

  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of P3M prioritisation frameworks to support strategic decision-making
  • Ensure portfolio investment decisions align with organisational objectives and community outcomes
  • Provide expert portfolio, program and project insights, reporting and recommendations to Executive Leadership and all Portfolio Committees.
  • Oversee the delivery of accurate, timely and meaningful portfolio, program and project reporting and dashboards
  • Monitor portfolio, program and project performance, delivery health, risks and dependencies, ensuring issues are identified and escalated appropriately
  • Manage portfolio-level resource and capacity planning across programs and projects to balance demand and workforce capability
  • Drive compliance with P3M governance frameworks, lifecycle methodologies and enterprise standards
  • Provide portfolio assurance through program and project gated reviews, governance oversight, and audit readiness activities

We’re looking for people who have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project/Program Management or similar or equivalent industry experience
  • Ideally 3-5 years demonstrated experience in portfolio, program and project management (P3M) environments, with strong capability in governance, prioritisation, reporting and strategic portfolio oversight
  • Highly developed analytical and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to provide trusted advice and influence decision-making at Executive and senior leadership levels
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with proven experience managing competing priorities, resource planning, risk oversight and continuous improvement initiatives.

Good to have:

  • PRINCE2® Project Management Practitioner or equivalent
  • Managing Successful Programs (MSP®) Practitioner or equivalent
  • Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices (P3O®) Practitioner or equivalent
