About the role 

Help shape early literacy outcomes across our community by overseeing the delivery of engaging, inclusive and meaningful programs for City of Gold Coast families. As the First 5 Forever Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in leading program delivery, building strong partnerships, and supporting the growth of early literacy initiatives across the Gold Coast. 

What you’ll be doing

•    Plan, coordinate and deliver First 5 Forever early literacy programs across library and community settings.  
•    Build and maintain partnerships, and coordinate and deliver outreach and information sessions to families, community partners and stakeholders.  
•    Lead and develop the First 5 Forever team, supporting capability, performance and engagement. 
•    Manage the First 5 Forever program budget, including regular reporting and grant acquittals.  
•    Collate and report on program outcomes, including customer and staff feedback, to align with State Library of Qld reporting requirements. 
•    Develop marketing materials, online content and communications in collaboration with the City’s Marketing and External Communications team. 
•    Provide insights, data and recommendations to support continuous improvement and inform decision-making.  
•    Coordinate compliance, audits and reporting of program and resource effectiveness. 
•    Work collaboratively with library teams and City-wide partners to deliver local and broader community activations.  
•    Contribute to a positive culture that prioritises safety, wellbeing and inclusion.

What we're looking for

You’re a passionate, community-focused professional with a background in Early Childhood or equivalent experience. You’re confident designing and delivering programs that support early literacy and learning outcomes and bring strong organisational and analytical skills to manage a varied workload. 

You have experience working with budgets, grants and project timelines, and can balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. Just as importantly, you’re a strong communicator who can build positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and produce high-quality written content, from reports and proposals to marketing and program materials. 

You thrive in a collaborative environment, while also being comfortable working independently. You’re motivated to deliver inclusive, creative and impactful services for children and families across the Gold Coast. 

A Blue Card and current driver’s licence are essential. Experience with grant submissions is required, and experience in a public library or project management environment will be highly regarded.
