About the team
The Maintenance Planning and Scheduling team operates across two supervisor streams. Together, the team schedules and dispatches planned and reactive maintenance work across an impressive breadth of city services: City Cleaning Maintenance; Community Facilities Maintenance; Gold Coast Water Maintenance; Open Space Maintenance; and Transport Maintenance.
About the role
Reporting to the Coordinator of Maintenance Planning and Scheduling, you will be someone who invests in people, focuses on a positive team culture, and brings out the best in those around you. You will build on a strong culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and genuine team connection – supporting your team of 10 to deliver a consistent customer experience in maintenance planning and scheduling for the City.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling team.
- Provide operational knowledge for improving the City’s computerised maintenance management systems.
- Provide specialist expertise for improving the City’s maintenance work management process and asset management process.
- Actively apply the City’s operational processes to continuously improve the customer experience.
- Contribute to budget forecasting for team development and capability.
We’re looking for people who have:
- Diploma of Business or relevant equivalent knowledge and experience
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team engagement and continuous improvement
- High-level skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Excel, Teams and Outlook
- Excellent knowledge of Asset Management strategies and an understanding of how SAP or similar applications can support the management of the City’s assets
- Strong communication skills that enhance stakeholder engagement
- Trade or engineering experience (highly regarded)
