About the team
The Community Buildings Planning and Asset Management Branch is responsible for the strategic planning, governance, and long-term sustainability of the City’s community building infrastructure portfolio, including community buildings, leased facilities, sport and recreation assets, and major venue and aquatic infrastructure. Working in a collaborative and high-performing environment, the team delivers asset management planning, infrastructure strategy, investment prioritisation, building compliance assurance, asset governance, and business improvement initiatives that support informed decision-making and sustainable service outcomes. The Senior Infrastructure Asset Leader will work closely with internal stakeholders across the organisation to strengthen asset management practices, improve asset data and compliance, enhance leased asset compliance governance, and help shape the future direction of community infrastructure management across the City.
About the role
The Senior Infrastructure Asset Leader plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of community infrastructure at the City of Gold Coast. This is a strategic leadership position focused on enhancing asset management practices, strengthening compliance with policies and regulations, and driving meaningful business improvements across the organisation
Key responsibilities:
- Identify, promote, and implement enhancements to asset management planning, capital program development, asset data completeness, and related operational processes.
- Oversee the development of compliance monitoring processes and data‑quality improvement initiatives, ensuring asset information is accurate, reliable, and transformed into meaningful insights that support decision making.
- Collaborate with Community Buildings teams to review and refine the lease framework, develop programs to address compliance gaps, and ensure lessees have clear visibility of asset responsibilities and expectations.
- Deliver expert compliance guidance to the Community Buildings Planning and Asset Management Branch, support the development of infrastructure strategies, and coordinate asset sustainability initiatives across directorates.
We’re looking for people who have:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science or equivalent relevant experience and knowledge
- Proven experience within a similar role
- Drivers licence Class C unrestricted
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
