- Position Brief - Enterprise Platform Entity Lead
About the role
As the Enterprise Platform Entity Lead, you will work closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, and multiple vendors to track and optimise the flow of value, ensuring that our ERP platform delivers maximum impact. You will lead a dynamic team, guiding them through key functions such as quality assurance, system analysis, application development, change management, upgrades, and continuous improvements.
You will also oversee the management, efficiency, and operation of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform. This is a pivotal role that combines leadership, technical expertise, and strategic vision to ensure our ERP system is optimally aligned with the City’s operational and strategic goals. The role is responsible for strategic vendor governance and financial oversight of all ERP systems, ensuring cost efficiency and service excellence.
We’re looking for people who have:
- Hold a Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, or have demonstrable experience in the management and operational delivery of complex business-critical applications
- Minimum 5+ years technical leadership providing coaching and mentoring of technical and functional teams of various abilities and strengths in medium/large environments
- Strong experience in managing ERP systems, preferably within a large corporate environment.
- Proven track record in leading ERP upgrades, and integrations with other systems.
- In-depth knowledge of ERP platforms (e.g., TechnologyOne, SAP, Oracle), including system architecture, configuration, and customisation.
- Experience with database management, system integrations (e.g., APIs, middleware), and data migration.
- Experience working in an agile delivery environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language for non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and change management during system implementations.
- Experience managing a complex vendor ecosystem and controlled ERP budgets to optimize performance, cost, and delivery outcomes.
