About the role
You will work closely with our Service Gold Coast department to proactively plan, schedule and resource planned and reactive maintenance work packages, utilising the City's systems and processes.
You will assist with the day to day asset maintenance and management functions to ensure they are presented in a fit-for-purpose condition, meet the needs of customer and maximise the whole of the life cycle of community assets.
This role focuses on the assessment of building condition and defects through onsite evaluation.

We’re looking for people who have:
- Demonstrated experience working in facilities management, asset management or coordinating maintenance works
- Extensive experience in Computerised Maintenance Management systems(CMMS)
- Cert III Trade Qualification (desirable)
- Australian Drivers Licence Class C Unrestricted
- Proficiency in tracking, maintaining, and optimising community facilities, including understanding asset lifecycle management and maintenance planning
- Ability to plan, execute, and oversee maintenance and improvement projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
- Understanding of building systems, equipment, and maintenance procedures relevant to community facilities
- Capability to analyse data and reports to make informed decisions about asset management and identify areas for improvement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise with stakeholders, including community members, contractors, and team members
- Ability to efficiently plan and prioritise tasks, manage schedules, and coordinate resources effectively
- Skill in identifying issues, developing solutions, and implementing corrective actions to address maintenance and facility-related problems
- Familiarity with relevant regulations, codes, and standards related to building maintenance and safety
- Competence in using SAP, asset management databases, and other relevant technology to track and manage assets efficiently
