This important role for the Chief People Officer undertakes a broad range of HR generalist support activities across the full employee life cycle.

Duties for the role will include (but not limited to) 

  • Provide timely day-to-day accurate HR generalist guidance and support to front line leaders and employees across the full employee lifecycle in collaboration with CPO cross-functional teams
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition Partners to support throughout the City's recruitment lifecycle
  • Assist the business with local level workforce planning in relation to position and people management​
  • Work collaboratively with the Compliance Training Business Partners to identify compliance requirements and support the business with scheduled training to effectively monitor, assess and maintain compliance
  • Acts as a conduit between CPO processes, projects, policies and procedures, to support allocated business areas to apply operationally
  • Remedy any disconnect between design to operational function and/or implementation
  • Assist CPO cross-functional teams and the business in the collation of relevant data or information pertinent to various people and position management and people related reporting activities​
  • Promote a positive workplace culture and drive high-performance principles by championing and providing on the ground support for CPO initiatives.​

We’re looking for people who have:

  • A Diploma of Human Resource Management and/or relevant knowledge and experience.
  • Proven capability providing accurate, timely advice across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance, workforce planning, and employee relations
  • Experience partnering with front line leaders, employees, and cross‑functional HR teams to deliver consistent, high‑quality people support
  • The ability to support position management, analyse workforce needs, and contribute to local-level planning activities
  • Experience in interpreting HR policies, processes, and projects, and applying them effectively within operational environments; ability to identify and resolve gaps between design and implementation
  • Experience collating, analysing, and presenting people-related data; strong attention to detail and proficiency with HR information systems and reporting tools
  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting positive workplace culture, supporting high‑performance behaviours, and championing organisational people initiatives.
