The Transport Program Delivery team delivers a diverse portfolio of capital works that enhance the safety, connectivity and functionality of the transport network. Managing projects across roads, active transport, public transport and infrastructure renewals, the team plays a vital role in delivering sustainable infrastructure that supports a growing community.
About the role
We are seeking to appoint 3 x Project Officers to join our Transport Program Delivery team.
Working closely with Project Managers, you will contribute across all stages of the project lifecycle, providing project coordination, governance, reporting and stakeholder support to help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and in accordance with Council's standards and project management framework.
Responsibilities include:
- Support the coordination and delivery of transport infrastructure projects across all stages of the project lifecycle.
- Assist with maintaining project governance, documentation, reporting and records.
- Monitor project progress, including schedules, budgets and key deliverables, and support issue identification.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support effective project communication and coordination.
- Contribute to procurement, administrative and project support activities as required.
- Assist with project completion activities, including documentation and handover processes.

We’re looking for people who have:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
- Diploma in Project Management or equivalent relevant experience.
- General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Current Class C Driver Licence.
- Experience working within a government or local government environment (desirable).
- Experience in transport, civil construction, or infrastructure project delivery (desirable).
- Understanding of project management principles and frameworks.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience preparing project documentation and reporting.
