We are seeking a motivated and suitably experienced person to join our Services & Operations Department as Team Leader Fleet and Workshop in a Permanent Full-Time capacity.

This position is based at the Colac depot.

As the Team Leader Fleet and Workshop you will ensure that Council:

  • Manages the provision of a safe, efficient and cost-effective plant and vehicle fleet that meets the organisations objectives. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Plant and Fleet Management
  • Plant, Vehicle and Equipment Purchase and Disposal
  • Financial Management
  • Team Leadership and Staff Management
  • Customer Service
  • Process Improvement
  • OH&S Risk Management

About You:

To support your success in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated understanding in the management of fleet and mechanical workshops.
  • Experience and competence in computer programs such as Excel and Word and ability to operate specialist business software for fleet management and finance.
  • A leadership style based on values and ethics along with a demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff to achieve organisational objectives.
  • Ability to understand and implement environment, risk & safety procedures into day to day and strategic operations.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and financial procedures and experience in procurement processes.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both written and oral with the ability to relate well to contractors, internal and external customers at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a consistent level of exemplary customer service.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to Occupational Health and Safety
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence.

Salary information: $86,793.20 to $93,614.04 per annum plus superannuation.
