Community Support Worker

Location: Sunnybank, Westlake and Sinnamon Park areas

We are looking for a new community support worker for shifts in the Sunnybank, Westlake and Sinnamon Park areas. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills and demonstrate a genuine interest in supporting individuals in their community. We are looking for someone who is reliable, adaptable, and community-minded who enjoys working with individuals to explore their interests. Female support workers are preferred and Midazolam training and experience in disability support work will be highly regarded.

Key Duties:

  • Support with Community Access and Transport
  • Support to build meaningful connections in the community

Shifts Available: 

  • Monday - 8:45am - 2:45pm
  • Tuesdays - 12:45pm - 4:45pm
  • Wednesday - 8:15am - 12:15pm
  • Thursday - 9:00am - 1:00pm
  • Friday - 11:30am - 2:00pm

* Availability for at least 3 of these shifts is a requirement

* Potential for additional hours for the right candidate

Pay Rates:

  • Monday to Friday 6am to 8pm shift - $38.50 per hour
  • Monday to Friday 8pm - 6am shift - $43.12 per hour
  • Saturday - $53.90 per hour
  • Sunday - $69.30 per hour
  • Public Holidays - $84.70 per hour

Essential Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills with proficient English
  • NDIS Worker Screening(or willing to obtain)
  • Open Queensland Driver’s Licence and own vehicle with insurance
  • First Aid and CPR Certification (or willing to obtain)
  • Blue Card (or willing to obtain)
  • Living within reasonable travelling distance to locations
  • Rights to work in Australia

Highly Regarded:

  • Midazolam training
  • Experience in disability support work
