Ciao Papi is a riverside Italian restaurant open for lunch and dinner, and encourages all to stop in for a drink, nibble, long-lunch or family dinner as the iconic Story Bridge lights up the night.

We are currently recruiting for Cooks and Commis Chefs who value quality, sustainability and collaboration. We offer homely, wholesome and uncomplicated dishes with the highest quality ingredients.

Key responsibilities include:

• Thorough knowledge of the entire menu, including an understanding of all base products and ingredients.
• Food is prepared in line with menu requirements and kitchen standards for the chef’s area of operation.
• Food is produced according to menu costings and recipes are followed accurately.
• The quality control and portion consistency system are adhered to.
• Assist the senior Chefs in the preparation of food in the kitchen.
• Consistent and superior service is provided at Guest contact points in food production and outlets.
• Kitchen equipment and fixtures are maintained and defects reported when necessary.
• Highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and equipment are always maintained.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience with Italian cuisine
• Previous experience with Pasta and Desserts is highly regarded
• Pride for creating and delivering consistent, high quality produce
• A positive and collaborative team player
• Open to learning and ready for growth
• Must be available Friday, Saturday & Sunday
• Strong desire to pursue a career in this industry
• Most be vailable for lunch shifts
