A dynamic 30-year-old man who loves his sport, works as a maintenance assistant and boasts a large social network is looking for a new male support worker. He lives in his own home with a flatmate, plays in one of Brisbane’s oldest and most competitive cricket teams and enjoys league bowls. He also happens to live with an intellectual disability. Currently, he seeking an additional team member to provide support for approximately 15 hours per week at home and out and about in the community. The ideal candidate will live within reasonable travelling distance to Ferny Hills and have some shared interests.

The role:
- Mentoring and prompting with daily activities
- Support to maintain social network and organise catch ups with friends
- Encouragement and support to work towards personal goals
- Work collaboratively with support team to seamlessly coordinate activities and tasks
- Support out in the community
Shifts:
- Either a full day Wednesday or a Wednesday half day + a Monday half day
- One Sunday per month (playing Cricket)
- One Saturday every 2 months (attending Dirt Box)
- Flexibility / Availability to pick up shifts when other workers are on leave
Pay rates:
- Monday to Friday 6am to 8pm shift - $38.50 per hour
- Monday to Friday 8pm - 6am shift - $43.12 per hour
- Saturday - $53.90 per hour
- Sunday - $69.30 per hour
- Public Holidays - $84.70 per hour
- Sleepover allowance $80.00 per shift
Essential requirements:
- Open Driver’s license and own vehicle with insurance
- Live within reasonable travelling distance
- Current First Aid Certificate & CPR
- NDIS Worker Screening/Yellow Card (or willing to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Flexibility to pick up additional hours when needed
