Female Lifestyle Support Worker

Hey! I am a female late 20’s living at home with my mother, grandmother and my two school age brothers. I have Cerebral Palsy and require high physical support and assistance with personal care, meals, medication and hoist transfers. I am also non- verbal but able to communicate with gestures and facial expressions. I have two support staff every morning and evening. I am happy and easy going with a regular support team around me. I am looking for 2 new, lovely female support workers to join my current team. You would also be a backup for when my current team members are not available. Experience is not required, if you are the right person my current team are happy to train you.

The Role:

  • Personal Care
  • Light household duties

Shifts:

  • Tuesdays 6:00am – 8:00am
  • Wednesdays 6:00am – 8:00am
  • Thursdays 5:00pm – 7:00pm
  • Saturdays 9:00am - 11:00am (fortnightly)
  • Saturdays 5:00pm – 7:00pm
  • Flexibility to pick up extra shifts when required

Essential requirements:

  • Open Driver’s license and own vehicle with insurance
  • Live within reasonable travelling distance
  • Current First Aid Certificate & CPR
  • NDIS Worker Screening/Yellow Card (or willing to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • Flexibility to pick up additional hours when needed

Highly regarded but not essential:

  • Hoisting Experience
  • Peg Feeding Experience
  • Experience with Alternate Communication Systems
