  • This is a permanent, unique, and exciting role in the Corporate Directorate.

About the role:

Join our team as Airport Coordinator and be instrumental in shaping the delivery, evaluation, and continual enhancement of the Whyalla Airport.

The Airport Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and all relevant legislation for the Tier 2 Whyalla Airport, under the guidance of the Airport Operations Lead.

We are looking for a person with:

  • Airport Experience
  • Knowledge of Airport Security requirements and relevant legislation including a thorough knowledge of the Civil Aviation Authority Regulations and Practices and Aviation Transport Security Regulations 
  • Qualification as Airport Reporting and Works Safety Officer 
  • Current ASIC Card (noting this encompasses a national police security check) 
  • Demonstrated commitment to WHS and Risk Management
  • Current Drivers Licence 
  • Complex problem-solving capability 
  • High Level Interpersonal Skills

The salary applicable for this role is in accordance with the South Australian Municipal Salaried Officers Award and Council’s current Enterprise Agreement, and commencing at Level 4 $86,863
