About this Opportunity

Our Grand Designs Live exhibition is an official extension of the hugely successful international television show which follows the progress of self builders in pursuit of architectural brilliance. This exciting new exhibition showcases all the latest and greatest trends in buildings, interiors, bathrooms, kitchens and outdoors.  Four home shows - ONE extraordinary event!

We are looking for an energetic, sales professional who has a proven track record of identifying new business opportunities and nurturing existing relationships.  Operating in a small team, the role requires an individual who can work autonomously as well as collaborate with colleagues to deliver an overall team result at the event each year.  You should be target driven, work well under pressure and have an interest in the events industry.  To be successful in this team you will understand how important your contribution is to the success of the event and enjoy this responsibility.

Key responsibilities in the role include:

  • selling space and sponsorship to exhibitors nationally (via phone & face to face)
  • account management (a high % of exhibitors sign up for the following year at the expo!)
  • expansion of existing leads database
  • on-site work at exhibitions
  • show/expo planning
  • interstate travel
  • networking at industry events

To ensure your success in this role you will have:

  • demonstrated B2B sales experience
  • an enthusiastic and outgoing attitude
  • excellent communication skills
  • strong ability to negotiate and influence
  • ability to build strong relationships with existing clients and key stakeholders
