Following an internal promotion, a great opportunity has opened for an experienced Distribution Manager to lead our Distribution team based at our Dandenong South Bakery.

Step into Leadership in a Hands-On, Fast-Moving Environment

Reporting directly to the National Distribution Manager, the Distribution Manager will be responsible leading end-to-end activities required for efficient distribution of ARYZTA products across Melbourne Metro/ VIC state.

We’re looking for a proactive people-focused leader ready to take the next step in their career. Based in our busy loading bay, this role is perfect for someone with team leader, supervisor or line haul allocator experience who’s ready to move into full leadership responsibility.

Managing a team of truck drivers and loading bay operators, this role will see you coordinating daily distribution operations, allocating work, supporting drivers, working closely with production operations, and occasionally jumping into a truck when needed.  If you thrive in the action and enjoy solving problems in real time, this is the role for you!

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Oversee day-to-day distribution activities across Victoria to ensure on-time and in-full (OTIF) delivery.
• Coordinate, organise, and allocate tasks within the loading bay to keep operations running smoothly.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of eight, building capability and engagement.
• Work closely with internal teams to troubleshoot issues and keep communication clear and consistent.
• Make quick, practical decisions during busy periods—managing resources, adjusting plans, and maintaining service levels.
• Champion safe working practices and uphold ARYZTA’s standards for Quality, Safety, and Environment.
• Identify areas for improvement and contribute ideas that lift performance, efficiency, and customer experience.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and uphold ARYZTA’s core values of Integrity, Ownership, Customer Focus, Creativity & Care.

About You:

To be successful in the role you will bring:

• 3+ years' experience in logistics & distribution management ideally in a complex food/FMCG or relevant industry.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, support multiple projects and allocate resources effectively.

• Great customer service and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong people management capability, and demonstrated experience in leading and building teams.
• The ability to make sound decisions under pressure, adapt to various situations while working effectively in a team environment.

• Proficiency in MS Office and ability to rapidly learn new systems.
• Great communications skills, with ability to adjust to wide audiences.
