The Role:
An excellent opportunity is now open for a Distribution Team Leader to join our VIC Distribution Centre based in Dandenong, VIC.
Reporting to the Distribution Manager, Team Leader will be responsible to oversee daily operations and ensure smooth and timely deliveries. In this key role, you will supervise the distribution team, ensure timely stock flow, and manage day-to-day operations in collaboration with 3PL partners and the supply planning team. Ensure the vehicles are loaded and the dock runs efficiently and effectively whilst at all times, ensuring policies/procedures and best practice standards.

Key Responsibilities will include:
• Lead and support dockhand and driver operations to ensure efficient daily loading bay activities and on-time deliveries.
• Effectively allocate staff and resources to maximise productivity and ensure timely dispatch of products.
• Oversee planning and execution of loading practices, including creating daily load sheets and allocating drivers based on delivery schedules.
• Ensure accurate product dispatch by verifying quantities against production sheets, applying correct stock rotation, and maintaining shelf-life standards.
• Liaise with the Production Team to manage variances and perform daily stock counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Maintain fleet readiness by ensuring trucks are licensed, serviced, and roadworthy, and manage dock equipment, pallets, and crates.
• Monitor and maintain communication and navigation equipment for fleet efficiency and address operational issues promptly.
• Provide training and development opportunities for team members to build capability and ensure compliance with operational standards.
About You:
To be successful in the role you will bring:
• Experience supervising teams in a 24/7 environment.
• Current MR truck and forklift licenses.
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 15kg.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Committed to maintaining safety standards and following procedures.
