Your new role:

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Enrolled Endorsed Nurse to join our residential team at our Tom Fitzgerald Residential Aged Care on a Part Time Basis.  Bring your passion for well-being to our close-knit community, fostering a warm and supportive environment for our residents.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality care.  Your fortnightly roster will be as below:

Week 1: Saturday (1430 - 2230) & Sunday (1430 - 2230)

Week 2: Saturday (1430 - 2230) & Sunday (1430 - 2230)

 

Your responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Assist residents with personal care, including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming and other activities of daily living
  • Undertaking medication management and treatment procedures as directed by the Residential Site Manager or person in charge
  • Assist in formal assessment processes and contribute to individual plans of care
  • Liaising with medical practitioners, pharmacists and other health services to provide relevant services for the care and wellbeing of the residents
  • Provide complex care, such as wound management and palliative care
  • Assisting the RN1 with clinical requirements of residents
  • Assisting in the implementation of cigarette and alcohol programs
  • Observing and reporting changes in residents’ behaviour or physical condition and maintain appropriate documentation as required
  • Attend appointments with residents as required
  • Providing emotional support to residents.

 

We are looking for candidates with the following:

  • Ability to work both in team and autonomously
  • Cert IV/Diploma of Nursing (with current AHPRA Registration)
  • Prior experience in housing & homelessness support, aged care, welfare, disability support, mental health or community/home care
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to enhance or maintain our residents’ independence and lifestyle
  • A friendly and non-judgmental attitude
