What’s on offer
As a graduate within the Natural Hazard Planning team, you will be working alongside engineers and technical officers, to ensure our natural hazard mapping and City Plan requirements remain up-to-date, and risk is reduced at the interface between communities and the natural environment. This position will contribute to the development of natural hazard policy and its implementation in City Plan (including planning for bushfire, flood, coastal and landslide hazards), to enhance the resilience of the Gold Coast. To be considered for this opportunity you must hold a recognised bachelor's degree or post graduate qualification from a tertiary institution, completed within the last two years or be completing prior to the commencement of the program in February 2026. Applicants must have full working rights in Australia for the duration of the program and be able to work full-time.
The Graduate Natural Hazards Planning welcomes graduates who have studied Bachelor of Urban or Environmental Planning or related field of natural hazards planning, disaster planning/resilience, climate change adaptation or similar.
