About the role

We are looking for a Strategy Manager to join the growing team on a permanent, full-time basis in Melbourne or Adelaide.  You will be responsible for building customer insight-based corporate and business unit strategies and supporting the delivery and activation of these strategies. The role will also encompass support for investor focused documents and communications, strategic reviews, and commercial due diligence.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with EGM Strategy to develop the Elders 3-5 year strategy in collaboration with the Board, the MD & CEO, and the Executive Management team
  • Lead analysis and the delivery of strategic reviews of various business units or market opportunities as requested by the Board and Executive
  • Undertake research and analysis for strategic due diligence for major acquisitions
  • Monitor and report on market outlook across the key sectors Elders operates in
  • Support the regular reporting on balanced scorecard outcomes including market share and net promoter score

About you:

  • At least 4 years in a Big 4 strategy team, top or second tier management consulting firm, investment bank, or internal corporate strategy team
  • Agriculture, agricultural inputs, or retail industry experience favourable
  • Demonstrated ability in negotiating and influencing diverse stakeholders, bringing-in and applying new thinking, and fostering productive stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused and commercial mindset.
  • Proven ability to present and communicate information across levels, championing a customer-led culture
