About the role

Due to extraordinary growth in our livestock business in Tasmania over the last 7 years, it’s time for a State Livestock/Auctions Plus Manager to come and join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.

Reporting directly to the State General Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the Livestock (Commercial, Stud stock and A+) sales plan for Tasmania, aligned to our National Livestock strategy. Your leadership capability at a senior level will see you engage the Livestock team across the state to support the plan as you drive sales activity and future growth, maximising profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the state’s Livestock strategy
  • Inspire and motivate the Livestock team to maximise their potential
  • Manage Stud stock
  • Cultivate new sales opportunities to strengthen Elders presence across the state
  • Build and maintain strong relationships at a state level

About you

  • Are an experienced leader at a senior level
  • Have demonstrated agency experience
  • Are an experienced Auctions Plus assessor
  • Able to effectively influence and motivate a team toward the achievement of annual sales and earnings targets
  • While not essential, auctioneering experience is preferred
