ABOUT THE ROLE 

We are looking for a corporate accountant to join our supportive team on a permanent, full-time basis. We welcome applicants seeking part-time opportunities, and flexible working arrangements will be considered.

As a Tax Accountant at Elder’s, you’ll be an integral part of the team assisting in all tax compliance requirements, including income tax, GST, FBT, international tax, and statutory/financial reporting.

You will have the opportunity to engage with a variety of stakeholders and have the platform and support, to develop your knowledge to progress your career to the next level.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Assisting in the preparation of half-year and end-of-year statutory tax reporting
  • Assisting in the preparation of income tax returns for the Elder’s Group 
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly business and installment activity statements
  • Assisting in the preparation of Fringe Benefits Tax returns for the group 
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislative and regulatory changes
  • Ensure risk, compliance, and reporting practices are operating effectively to meet statutory requirements 

ABOUT YOU 

  • Degree qualified with 2+ years experience in a similar role
  • Hold or working towards a professional accounting qualification - CA or CPA
  • Work experience in a big four or similar would be an advantage
  • Sound knowledge of Australian taxation law 
  • Team player with a can-do attitude is a must
  • Proficiency in CCH Integrator would be desirable but not essential
  • Take pride in your work and want to work with other passionate professionals
