We are looking for a Dip & Saleyards Manager to join the growing team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The prime responsibilities of the role are to manage the day-to-day operations of a large dip and saleyards at Moura. This is a hands-on role. You will be working the dip and yards with a focus on strong interpersonal skills, capacity to manage staff, clients & facilities as well as scheduling movements to and from the complex.  As a selling, clearing & weighing facility, strict commitment to legislative guidelines, procedures and safety are vital.


To succeed at in this role, you are:

  • Business minded and experienced in management of a large cattle operation or facility encompassing a dip or sale yards with experience in handling, processing and trucking large numbers of cattle plus the ability to organise appropriate spelling, penning, treatments and care.
  • A team player and a strong communicative leader.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to all stakeholders, clients and suppliers through effective face to face and telephone communication.
  • Have pride in self, the facility and in your role at Elders. Attention to the presentation of the facility and equipment and management of upkeep to ensure consistent improvement is expected.
  • Knowledge of budgets and basic computer skills are an advantage but specific training will be provided. The admin component of the role is important but minor and support will be available.
  • Are driven by the desire to commit to safety, compliance quality in daily duties and commitment to the team. Adherence to legislation is vital.
