About the role
We are looking for a Finance Manager – Statutory Reporting to join the growing team on a permanent, full-time basis.
Coming off the back of several financially strong years, the Finance team is entering an exciting phase of growth and innovation. As a key stakeholder, you will have the opportunity to implement a number of best practice innovations including Dynamics 365, and have a tangible impact on business processes and outcomes.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Finance Manager – Statutory Reporting will manage a team that is responsible for all the statutory reporting obligations of the group, preparing financial statements and administering the external audit. This role will administer and oversee the control environment of the group to ensure that financial information is free from material misstatement. The role works closely with management and provides advice on technical accounting matters at various levels in the business.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team that delivers on all the statutory reporting obligations of the group
- Oversee and implement processes that ensure all financial data is accurate and reliable
- Prepare technical accounting papers and provide advice to various stakeholders
- Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are prepared, reviewed and free from material misstatement
- Review financial performance reports and ensure journals and consolidation/elimination entries are accurate and posted in a timely manner
- Deliver and drive an efficient external audit process, supporting the audit engagement
- Assist with the group forecasting and budgeting processes
About you
- CPA or CA qualified with experience in financial accounting, particularly preparing financial statements and leading an external audit process
- Able to work autonomously and take ownership of statutory reporting obligations and key audit related matters
- Effective communication, both written and verbal and capable of working with stakeholders at all levels
- Able to thrive in a complex corporate environment with highly developed negotiation skills
- Analytically minded
