Our Electrician Apprenticeship is part of our Electrical Services Section in our Infrastructure – Water and Sewer Division. Electrical Services is responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of assets within Council’s substantial water and sewer network, as well as radio communication systems. Work in this area is focused on industrial power, automation and telemetry systems as well as general maintenance of related buildings and infrastructure. Working under the guidance of our highly qualified electrical tradespeople, you will develop practical skills on the job carrying out electrical maintenance, repairs and upgrades to Council’s Water, Sewer and Radio Communication services while completing a Certificate III in Electrical (Electrotechnology Systems Electrician).
This role will suit someone who is able to efficiently and safely follow the directions and guidance of experienced electrical trades staff, is able to carry out physical labouring tasks and complete both work and study commitments.
