Casual Basis

 

  • Join the tight knit, dynamic team at one of our residential aged care sites providing high quality accommodation and care to older people.
  • Base pay rates: $31.46 - $32.28/hr depending on qualifications and experience + 25% casual loading
  • Casual basis allowing for flexibility
  • Based at our Eunice Seddon Residential Aged Care Home in Dandenong (VIC)

 

Your new role

Wintringham is currently seeking an experienced and proactive individual to join our tight-knit and friendly Domestic Services team at the Eunice Seddon Residential Aged Care Home on a Part Time basis. As a Domestic Services Assistant, you will be working across our cleaning, kitchen and laundry teams. Be part of a supportive and collaborative environment, where your dedication to excellence is recognised and valued. You will also undertake one Food Services Attendant shift per fortnight, playing an important role in delivering quality meal services and enhancing residents' dining experience. Enjoy the flexibility of an unrostered role, with the opportunity to step in and support the team as needed across our service.

 

Your responsibilities and duties will include:

  • To clean resident rooms, common areas, office spaces, cleaners and staff room as scheduled
  • To replenish & maintain stock levels  
  • Cleaning & Laundry duties as per schedule
  • To ensure provision of clean laundry throughout the home at all times
  • To assist with the preparation and serving of all Meals, Drinks and Snacks in the kitchenettes

 

We are looking for candidates with the following:

  • Previous experience in a cleaning/laundry role – preferably in Aged Care/Health Care
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • A non-judgmental approach to working with people
  • Qualifications and experience in food handling, infection control, manual handling and the use of cleaning chemicals (highly advantageous)
  • Food Safety Certificate and Food Handlers Certificate (highly advantageous)
  • Physically able to perform manual tasks including (but not limited to) bending & lifting
