The Role
As a VET Trainer, you will have the ability to inspire others to pursue and achieve their dreams by offering them quality mentoring and motivation. You will engage, support and motivate the students to achieve their Diploma, the first step to achieving their dream.
- Facilitate one-on-one open learning
- Mentoring and motivating students through their diploma-level qualifications
- Leading workshops and working with students individually
- Identifying individual learning needs
- Provide phone and email support to demotivated students
- Marking assessments against set criteria
- Other trainer administrative tasks to assist the campus as necessary
You
- TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualification or its successor (essential)
- Relevant qualifications in Community Services, Youth Work or Youth Justice, or equivalent (preferable) - CHC52015/CHC50513/CHC50413 or similar
- Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment of the above qualification
- Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning
- Ability to map your qualifications and experience to our HR Matrix
- Eligibility to continue industry relevant professional development
- Ability to build relationships and rapport with students from a variety of backgrounds
- A proactive and resourceful attitude with an ability to lead and open-learning environment
- Permanent residency or a visa that permits full-time work
- Ability to undergo a police check, if you are successful in securing this position
