Support Worker / Cooking Mentor

Are you passionate about cooking delicious food?

Can you also mentor a young man to expand his cooking skills? 

We are currently looking for a support worker who is available Monday afternoons - early evening to assist a young man to plan meals, shop, cook, and host friends for dinner.

Shifts:

  • Monday - 12pm - 6.30pm (approximately)
  • Additional shifts may become available

This role will suit someone who:

  • is a confident and experienced cook
  • has a wide repertoire and can cater for omnivores, vegans and more!
  • can help mentor around healthy (but yummy) food choices
  • can model skills and break down cooking tasks
  • is fun, energising and motivating
  • cares and wants to make a dierence. 

* Training and support provided* 

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous cooking experience (paid or unpaid) 
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with the person, his family and other supporters
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Licence and own vehicle (preferred)
