Male Support Workers

Job No: EXT267
Location: Belmont

We are looking to welcome a few great blokes to our team to replace some long-term support workers who are moving on to new opportunities.

The person requiring support is a male who lives independently in his own home on his parents' property in Belmont (near Carindale). Successful applicants will be joining an established and supportive team that values building genuine relationships with both him and his family.

This role is about much more than providing care. We are looking for support workers who can connect with him as a mate, support him to engage in his community, and help him live a meaningful, active, and enjoyable life. While he requires assistance with most day-to-day activities, he is a highly social person who thrives when surrounded by people who treat him with kindness, patience, respect, and genuine acceptance.

Although his own interests can sometimes be quite limited, he enjoys being around people and benefits greatly from support workers who bring their own interests, hobbies, skills, and positive energy into his life. The right person will help create variety, meaningful experiences, opportunities for growth, and plenty of enjoyable moments along the way.

Building a genuine connection is essential, as he responds best to support workers who approach him as a person first and foremost, rather than simply someone providing a service.
