The Role:

Are you an experienced Maintenance Electrician passionate about optimising equipment performance and driving efficiency within a manufacturing environment? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team!

 

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this key role is responsible for ensuring that the facility and equipment are maintained in a safe manner in order to meet daily production requirements.

 

Working Hours: Tuesday - Saturday from 6am to 2pm, with opportunity and availability for overtime as required.

 

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Management of end-to-end processes and equipment performance on the line.
  • Carries out preventive maintenance on designated equipment.
  • Conducts testing and calibration activities associated with the line & related process equipment.
  • Identifies defects, corrective and preventative maintenance and engages in predictive analysis.
  • Conducts effective problem solving & proactively acts to resolve trending issues.
  • Undertakes cost effective solutions to remedy defects.
  • Scopes and executes PLC programming and automation projects
  • Actively participates in development work & projects including installation and commissioning.
  • Compliance to production plan and quality standards.
  • Critical thinking and solving technical electrical or mechanical problems.
  • Drives continuous improvement activities across the line.
  • Must adhere to and apply all site-specific Policies & Procedures, including, but not limited to GMP, Glass Handling, HACCP, WHS, Environmental, LOTO, Confined Space, Boiler Operation.
  • Effective shift hand over – transfer details events occurring at changeover, e.g. faults, ongoing poor equipment performance, waste levels, food quality issues, etc.
  • Actively promotes and applies work in a safe and controlled way ensuring own safety as well as the safety of others.

 

About You:

The successful candidate will be a do-er, results-driven, highly organized, detail-oriented and ready to be hands on when required.

 

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Electrical Trade certificate and A Grade Electrical License.
  • Sound Electrical and Mechanical knowledge and experience.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS - ideally MEX).
  • Basic Refrigeration knowledge.
  • Competent using the Allen-Bradley products.
  • Competent following electrical schematic drawings.
  • General understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Understanding of the 3 phase and Single-Phase motor fault finding and maintenance.
  • FMCG/Food, pharmaceutical manufacturing or relevant work experience will be highly regarded.
  • Effective communication, stakeholder relationship building skills and superior attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of the role.
