We are currently on the lookout for a Casual Cook to join the team at Felons Barrel Hall!

Role Responsibilities:

• Prepares food in a clean working environment in line with business volumes
• Ensure kitchen operating procedures (SOPs) are always followed 
• Be familiar with the menu, base products and ingredients used
• Ensure stock rotation is applied according to standard procedures of FIFO
• Handle and maintain kitchen utensils with care, and in line with best practice
• Prepare food in line with menu requirements and kitchen standards for the chef’s area of operation
• Assist with producing food according to menu costings and recipes
• Adhere to quality control and portion consistency
• Demonstrate knowledge of cooking and food preparation equipment and skills, such as sauté, braising etc
• Ensure proper sanitation of work areas, utensils and equipment
• Assist the Chefs in the preparation of food in the kitchen
• Clean kitchen machinery/ equipment/ work area when required
• Clean down bench tops and required kitchen equipment, complete a general kitchen clean down and leave area in a clean and tidy state
• Set up and assist in the food mise en place in all kitchen sections
• Have flexible cooking skills importable from kitchen to kitchen

What we’re looking for:

• Undeniable pride for creating and delivering consistent, high quality produce
• Previous experience working on cold larder and fryer section is desirable
• Experience in fast-paced kitchens
• Food safety certificate 
• Available to work a rotating roster including AM/PM and weekend shifts
• A positive and collaborative team player
• Open to learning and ready for growth
