The Opportunity
FHL is entering a significant period of growth, and we’re creating a new Property Analyst role to support our expanding development and asset portfolio.
Working closely with the Senior Property Analyst, this role is ideal for someone early in their property or finance career who is commercially curious, analytically strong and motivated by work that delivers real community impact.
You’ll support financial modelling, market and sector research, business case development and property settlements — gaining hands-on exposure across the full property lifecycle while contributing to strategic decision-making at an organisational level.
A Snapshot of the Role
- Financial modelling and analysis – support with financial modelling, prepare assumptions and scenario analysis under guidance from the Senior Property Analyst.
- Market and sector research – conduct research, maintain benchmarking data and translate insights into concise, decision-ready summaries for internal committees and the Board.
- New development opportunities – assist with due diligence, business case preparation, investment recommendations and funding submissions.
- Project reporting – prepare monthly and ad hoc project reports and support with management reporting
- Commercial asset management – monitor income and expenses, compile dashboards and assist with strategic asset management analysis
- Property settlements – coordinate settlement processes with internal teams and external agents to ensure timely and accurate execution
- Collaboration and continuous improvement – work across teams to improve data quality, reporting efficiency and internal processes

What You'll Bring
You’re analytically minded, commercially aware and enjoy working with data to solve real problems. You’re comfortable operating in a structured environment but curious enough to ask questions and improve how things are done.
Essential criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a property analyst or related role.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen.
- Strong financial modelling, analytical capability and feasibility analysis.
- Demonstrated experience of accounting concepts, reporting and financial principles.
- Advanced Excel skills and intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills capability.
- A collaborative mindset and strong attention to detail.
Desirable criteria:
- Knowledge of property valuation methodologies.
- Postgraduate or professional finance qualifications (e.g. CA, CFA, Masters of Finance, FINSIA).
Other requirements
- Current WA Driver’s Licence
- National Police Clearance
