Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer focused First Aid Officer & All-Rounder to join our team on Fitzroy Island. This dual role will involve providing first aid support and assisting in various guest services and resort operations.
Key Responsibilities:
First Aid Officer:
- Provide immediate first aid during the day and be on-call for night incidents.
- Participate as part of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) for medium to major incidents, including evacuations and medical scenario training.
- Maintain first aid kits and replenish supplies in the first aid room and other stock areas.
- Complete electronic and paper-based incident reports.
- Attend ERT training and emergency events as needed.
- Complete Royal Flying Doctors online training for administering prescription medication.
All-Rounder Responsibilities:
- Greet guests and deliver professional, friendly, and helpful customer service.
- Provide information on island activities, both free and paid, and suggest itineraries.
- Promote resort facilities, ferry transfers, and daily activities.
- Respond to inquiries from guests and professional groups via email or phone.
- Assist with general administrative duties, including restocking supplies and cleaning activity areas.
- Maintain cleanliness in guest areas, such as tables, chairs, and play areas.
- Conduct research on relevant topics about the resort and the environment to share with guests.
- Adhere to all safety, security, fire, health, and hygiene protocols.
- Follow environmental responsibilities within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.
- Perform other tasks in other departments as directed by management.

- Physical fitness is essential for the role.
- Show a genuine passion for the hospitality industry, with knowledge of marine conservation topics.
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum of Senior First Aid to Advance with Oxygen.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Remote and Wilderness Training (RAW) and other Emergency Management Training.
- Mental Health First Aid Training.
