Fitzroy Island Resort is currently seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our busy team. We are looking for a long-term employee with a minimum 12-month tenure. Please attach a cover letter outlining your experience and commitment.
This is a full-time position with an annual salary of $60,000.00 to $65,000.00 per annum based on skills and experience.
Position Overview:
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for the smooth and efficient operations of the housekeeping department, working in conjunction with the Executive Housekeeping Manager. The Housekeeping Supervisor will supervise other room attendants ensuring that rooms are presented to company standards, comfortable and inviting.
- Meeting & greeting of guests and at all times providing professional, helpful, friendly and accurate customer service.
- Follow all chemical safety policies, ensuring that safety data sheets are being adhered to.
- Clean guest rooms as assigned including but not limited to: dusting, making beds, soiled linen removal from rooms, vacuuming, moping, bathroom cleaning, inside window cleaning, replenish rooms with supplies.
- Return and properly tag all lost property items to the Housekeeping Office.
- Report any missing, damaged or maintenance issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor and own the responsibility to ensure that the items are replaced or repaired to create an uninterrupted or impaired stay for the Guest.
- Perform deep cleaning tasks and projects, when required and identify rooms that require special attention.
- Maintain housekeeping carts and ensure they are fully stocked with consumables, linen and cleaning supplies.
- Dispose and sort rubbish and recyclables accordingly.
- Perform all other duties and tasks assigned by a manager.
- Excellent organisational skills, and proven ability to manage a team to achieve goals.
- Excellent interpersonal and motivational skills and a natural communicator.
- Projects professional image at all times.
- Customer service skills with the ability to exceed customer expectations.
- Organises time & work efficiently through strong time management skills.
- Punctual and reliable at all times.
- Show strong ability to work in a busy environment without displaying signs of stress.
- Physically fit.
Mandatory:
- Must have a current National Police Check issued by Queensland Police or able to obtain one within three weeks of commencing employment- for all live on Island staff.
- Employees whose duties include driving a company vehicle, must hold a current QLD Driver’s License.
