Full-Time | 38 Hours per Week

Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:06 PM

Grade 5 – $30.43 per hour + First Aid Allowance + Driving Allowance + 12% Superannuation

The Flagstaff Group is seeking a reliable, safety-focused and motivated Production & Delivery Assistant (Job Description) to join our Paper to Paper Division.

This is a varied role combining production, warehouse and delivery responsibilities. You will assist with the collection, transportation and processing of recyclable materials, undertake customer deliveries and collections, support production activities and work alongside people with disability in a safe and inclusive environment.

A current Medium Rigid (MR) or Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver Licence is mandatory for this position.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you'll play an important role in ensuring our commercial recycling services are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard while contributing to meaningful employment opportunities for people with disability.

The division proudly employs more than 40 people with disability, delivering environmentally responsible recycling services while creating meaningful employment opportunities.

  • Secure shredding bin services

  • Soft plastic recycling

  • PET strapping recycling

  • X-ray recycling

  • Newspaper recycling

  • Box of Destruction confidential disposal services

Key Responsibilities 

  • Collect recyclable materials, confidential shredding and customer products throughout the Illawarra and Shoalhaven using a Flagstaff vehicle.

  • Safely operate MR/HR vehicles in accordance with road transport legislation and organisational procedures.

  • Load and unload recycling bins, cages, pallets and recyclable materials safely.

  • Sort, process and prepare recyclable products for production.

  • Assist with production activities to ensure customer orders and recycling services are completed accurately and on time.

  • Support supported employees in carrying out recycling and production duties under the direction of the Production Supervisor.

  • Conduct daily vehicle safety inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.

  • Complete delivery, collection and customer documentation accurately.

  • Maintain high standards of quality, environmental compliance and customer service.

  • Follow Workplace Health and Safety procedures at all times.

  • Assist with maintaining a clean, organised and safe production environment.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A current Medium Rigid (MR) or Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver Licence (mandatory).

  • Experience in recycling, transport, logistics, warehousing, manufacturing or delivery services (desirable but not essential).

  • A current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

  • Good physical fitness and the ability to safely lift and move recycling materials and equipment.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and environmental responsibility.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • A positive attitude and willingness to support people with disability in the workplace.

  • A commitment to workplace health and safety.
