What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone with:
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end payroll processing (Employment Hero, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, or similar preferred)
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, awards, superannuation, and leave entitlements
- Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and strong numerical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with digital payroll systems
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Finance, HR, and other divisions
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee data responsibly
- Strong communication and customer service skills with a focus on internal support
Your Role
As our Payroll & Finance Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of our payroll and finance operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Payroll Management: Process fortnightly payroll accurately for up to 440 staff and employees with disabilities, and ensuring compliance with legislation across two major Awards
- Employee Records: Maintain up-to-date employee data, leave balances, and superannuation records
- Reporting: Generate payroll and finance reports for management and compliance purposes
- Employee Support: Respond to payroll queries in a timely and professional manner
- Compliance: Ensure all payroll activities align with legislation, awards, and company policies
- Finance Support: Assist with accounts receivable, customer debt recovery, reconciliations, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- System Improvements: Contribute to the enhancement of payroll systems and internal controls
