Flagstaff Life Choices provides NDIS supports offering unique training and activities for people with a disability across school to work pathways, supported employment, skills development, wellbeing, social inclusion and support coordination. As our Life Choices programs continue to grow, we are looking for a passionate and skilled Program and Vocational Skills Facilitator to join our Illawarra team.
About Our School to Work Team (S2W)
Within our Life Choices division, Our S2W program offers a supported pathway to help young people with disability take their first exciting steps from school into the working world. Working in the S2W team offers you the rare opportunity to develop deep expertise in disability employment, build lasting relationships with local businesses and schools, and grow within a values-driven organisation that has been a cornerstone of the community for over six decades. The various services we provide are :
- Hands-on learning inside real commercial businesses
- Work experience placements across a range of industries
- Tradie training pathways
- Connections to registered training organisations and short courses
- Workshops covering resume writing, mock interviews and vocational skills
- Ongoing support even after a participant finds employment

The Opportunity
This isn't a desk job, here, you'll witness first-hand the moment a young person nails their first mock interview, lands their first work experience placement, or walks into their first day of paid employment As a Program & Work Skills Facilitator, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating and delivering engaging capacity-building programs and events
- Plan and facilitate S2W programs that build employment readiness and confidence
- Organise and coordinate school “taster days” that expose students to different industries and work environments
- Support school leavers to identify their interests, strengths, and career goals
- Connect with local businesses such as cafés, retail stores, pet shops and other employers to create work experience opportunities
- Prepare participants for the world of work by delivering training and workshops including: Resume preparation and mock interviews
- Deliver group and individual training sessions that build social and vocational skills
- Support Disability Support Workers with day-to-day program operations and act as a positive role model within the team
- Hourly rate : As per Level 3 SCHADS Award between $38-$40 per hour (based on skill & experience) + 12 % superannuation + work phone provided
- Enjoy Salary packaging up to $15,900 (tax-free)
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum 2-3 experience working in disability support, training facilitation or event management.
- Knowledge of the NDIS framework, including the Quality and Safeguards Commission.
- Strong time management, planning, and communication skills.
- Willingness and capacity to provide transport or community access where required.
- Confident in using Microsoft suites and learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Cleared National Police Check, Working with Children's Check, NDIS Worker Screen and a First Aid Certificate ( willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver's license and full vehicle comprehensive insurance
