The Opportunity
Reporting to the HR Manager , you will provide support in a range of HR Activities, with no one day being the same. The role will allow you to grow and thrive in the Community Service sector, and get involved in a range of People & Culture projects such as:
- Provision of general HR advice and administration in; job design and evaluation, probation management and variations to employment conditions.
- Maintaining accurate HR records, systems and reporting
- Supporting engagement and recognition initiatives
- Support end-to-end recruitment activities including sourcing, pre-employment background checks, onboarding, induction and ensuring overall positive candidate experience
- Prepare monthly HR report, and other HR reports and metrics.
- Promote a positive employee experience aligned with Flagstaff's values and culture
- Partner with the HR Manager to support workplace Investigations.
- Supporting P&C activity and creating HR presence across Nowra, McArthur and Illawarra sites as needed (Fleet vehicle provided for travel)
- Support the internal communications processes and contributes to the HR Intranet section
The Ideal Candidate
You’re knowledgeable and passionate about People and are looking for diversity!
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business or a related discipline relevant to the role, or 1-3 years demonstrated industry experience.
- Highly developed communication skills with the ability to confidently interact with anyone regardless of their role and/or social standing.
- Ability to multi-task and priorities workload in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of computer skills with experience using HRMS and Microsoft suite of programs
- A self-starter who loves autonomy but enjoys working with a team that values collaboration.
- Confident in managing competing priorities and supporting multiple business unit
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and guide
- A collaborative, people-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
- Ability to problem-solve and navigate sensitive or complex matters professionally
