About Us
Flagstaff Paper to Paper has been operating for 26 years and is the largest white paper and cardboard collection service in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven Council areas. The business processes over 16,000 tonnes of paper, cardboard, and plastic each year and employs more than 40 people with disabilities. Our Recycling Business plays a vital role in delivering sustainable outcomes, operational excellence, and inclusive employment opportunities across the region.
We are seeking an experienced and people-focused Manager – Recycling Business to lead our operations in Unanderra.
About the Role
This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an energetic and commercially minded professional who is passionate about leading diverse teams and driving operational success.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Operations and Safety, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Recycling Business, ensuring productivity, safety, quality outcomes, customer satisfaction, and team engagement. You will lead a diverse workforce, creating an inclusive and high-performing culture.
The successful candidate will also play a key role in identifying growth opportunities, implementing operational improvements, and supporting organizational change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the daily operations of the Recycling Business

Build and maintain a positive, inclusive, and safety-focused workplace culture

Effectively lead diverse teams

Drive operational efficiency, productivity, and service delivery outcomes

Identify and pursue business development and growth opportunities

Develop strong customer and stakeholder relationships

Monitor budgets, resources, and operational performance

Lead and support change management initiatives across the business

Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, and organizational requirements

Coach, mentor, and develop team leaders and employees

Prepare reports and contribute to strategic planning activities
About You

Essential Requirements

Current NSW Driver License (Forklift license is a good to have)
